How are you powering the zoom lens motor? I can't believe Canon designed a camera that cannot power a zoom lens. We need a large chip camera in shoulder-style form that can power a zoom. We need a betacam with a large chip. It is ridiculous that none of these cameras can be taken out of the case and shot from the shoulder without any accessories and power a zoom, just as news style cameras have been able to do for decades. One should not have to add extra power sources and a host of accessories to a camera. I want a large chip camera that is one piece, shoulder mounted, and can power a zoom. One that I rarely have to change lenses on, like my Panasonic HDX 900.

That rolling shutter is pretty minimal. I haven't used an EPIC hands-on but I am not sure the rolling shutter would be significantly better. Also still not really convinced the Scarlet is significantly cheaper - will be interesting to see what the street price of C300 ends up being.
