Hi, thanks for posting this item. One of my hobbies is videoscoping (mainly of birds). I am interested in capturing jpeg images from video of fast subjects when you often get only one opportunity for that record shot. I currently have a Sony RX100 and use Sony software to grab images from 1080p footage..
I have downloaded your raw 2.7K and 4K files and have grabbed images from both sets of footage using VLC.
Interestingly, the image produced from 2.7K pixilates at a lower crop than the 4K. This might seem obvious but it is a really valuable property in relation to grabbed image quality.
I have attached the grabbed jpeg images from your raw 4K and 2.7K footage.
UHD video, especially 4K, opens up the prospect of capturing some great quality jpegs from video footage.

Just last December I bought my black edition hero 3+ and guess what it is truly amazing and 100 times better than the hero 2 even hero 3 silver. I am really happy what i have. I wrote a review and about gopro silver vs black. I hope that will bring some importance to you before buying gopro.

hi guys! i just purchased this amazing little camera, I used to work with FCP, but i just switched to premiere CS6, Im a mac user, it’s true that i dont need to transcode to proress for editing and color correcting?

I setup a new sequence in PrPro CS6 with 2704×1440 23.976 and it worked alright. Dragged and dropped the file from the downloads bin. Using a 2.3ghz i7 15″ mpb and previewing at ProRess422 2704×1440 it started to lag a bit after 10 seconds…. I also converted via cineform and had no major issues. Applied warp stabiliser and a bit of three-way colour grading with slightly slower playback.

The files here are exported from Cineform. I’ll upload two RAW files today. You may have to update Cineform to import them into NLE. Let me know how it works for you when they are up.

So I downloaded the 2.7K files to test them out with some advanced stabilizing but they’re not 2.7K resolution. They’re ever so slightly larger than 1080p. Is there a reason you resized them?
