This past Thanksgiving weekend fellow filmmaker and friend to all, Steven Landon-Smyth (twitter: @lordofvisions ) lost his wife of 19 years suddenly and unexpectedly.  Dina Landon-Smyth was not only Steve’s wife but also his best friend and photography partner. Like most of you I cannot even imagine the millions of emotions Steve and his family is going through right now.  This time of year has a focus on family so I am sure we can all relate and take a minute to reflect on his loss and how each and every one of us can be in the same situation in a heartbeat.

Today I am asking you all to help Steve in this trying time. We have set up a memorial fund in Dina’s name to assist Steve and his family cope with some of the financial hardships of losing a loved on and key member of his team.  If you can give one dollar…please do.  If you can give more…please do.  Every dollar counts.  The funeral is on the 4th and I am hoping we can get it fully covered if not more to help out.  Please show your true indie film roots and compassion and give what you can to help a fellow filmmaker in need.

Here is the link to the Dina Landon-Smyth Memorial Fund.  All money goes directly to Steve and his family.

About two years ago a new Canon camera changed the way the world sees both motion and still photography. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
