NAB 2011 – Jared Abrams & Philip Bloom

Cameras

Whew! I thought that the space time continuum would collapse and the world would end. Two big wigs occupying the same space. But nope, we are all still here so, you can check out the NAB perspective of these two great dudes in film.
Check out Philip Bloom’s blog here.

Jared Abrams is a cinematographer based in Hollywood, California. After many years as a professional camera assistant he switched over to still photography. About two years ago a new Canon camera changed the way the world sees both motion and still photography. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I think the time to “NOT SHARE” and let people try to figure out “HOW” and Possibly try and Mimic others work has arrived.

The reason I say this.. Is simply because you/we are in a time warp of copycats at the moment, it is no longer an experience from individuals and artists, but of a repeat of someone elses work, being rehashed over the internet.

Think about it for a moment… I’m sure most would agree.

Peace out, and I wish Jared and his new crew all the best
I will follow you and support you just because I like the energy and vibe you produce.

    Thank you

Philip Bloom keeps it concise and humorous. I really appreciate the good information that he puts out there. He takes an incomprehensible amount of time to really think through good posts, which are technically sound. He’s a trusted source on camera tech and I’m glad he’s out there educating people.

Philip Bloom is just a pompous big headed guy who does crappy video and then blogs about it, trying to sell his products whenever he can… I guess that is probably the only way he can make a living… Most of his videos are pointless and technically poor. Just look at his Seattle’s Space Needle time lapse to get an idea… probably one of the worst time lapses I have ever seen…

I really don’t get all the hype he is getting…
