Cinema EOS Just got back from the Hollywood unveiling of this camera. Very disappointing 50mps 4:2:2 codec writing to dual CF cards. Price for Body $16000?! without lens. Those you can pick up for $7000! Or get a zoom for $45000. Pretty pictures, low light great 1920 X 1080 only! Just a little bigger than the Canon 7d chip. Not what I was expecting.

I understand today that the Red Camera & Sunglass Company will be announcing its dissolution and going-out-of-business on November 3, 2011. After just 12 short years of being in the forefront of nowhere, and coming out with absolutely nothing worth mentioning. Or at least making incessant announcements of it.

So sad to see them go already.
