That’s A Wrap On Principal Photography For The Board Of Education!

Cameras

After four short months we are wrapped on principal photography for The Board Of Education,  our documentary film about corporal punishment in the US public school system. We shot over fifty interviews with politicians, administrators, teachers, parents and students all over the country. Now the hard work of putting it all together begins! We found this little playground behind a church in Jackson, Mississippi. The little Sony NEX 5N is great for quick pick up shots like these. I wanted to get a few esoteric shots like this to use as possible cut aways. The merry-go-round was my favorite as a kid. I think we captured the feeling of being there. Thank you all so very much for your continued support as we begin the post production process of our film. Chris Collins was an invaluable DP and friend throughout the film. A special thanks to him! Thank You brother!

Jared Abrams is a cinematographer based in Hollywood, California. After many years as a professional camera assistant he switched over to still photography. About two years ago a new Canon camera changed the way the world sees both motion and still photography. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
