Veydra Mini Prime Lenses For MFT Cameras. Quick Take Video.

Cameras

Here is a quick take on the new Veydra Mini Primes for MFT cameras. We tested the 16mm, 25mm, 35mm and 50mm all T2.2. The all metal construction is great and manual focus and iris is refreshing. All the lenses were sharp throughout and color matched perfectly. We shot this in 4K with the GH4 and one shot of the two dollar bill with the BMPCC. We shot a few tests with the GH4 and BMPCC Ungraded, they are up on the Veydra kickstarter update page now. The Veydra Mini Primes are available now on Kickstarter. A single prime lens will set you back around $700 and a set of four will run about $2500.

Jared Abrams is a cinematographer based in Hollywood, California. After many years as a professional camera assistant he switched over to still photography. About two years ago a new Canon camera changed the way the world sees both motion and still photography. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Thank you for testing these out! I’m sure a lot of folks like me have been excited by Veydra “in theory” but a little worried about getting in on the ground floor with such a small, new company’s first product. Still, the value seems amazing.
