Cine Gear Expo 2011 Camera Prep And Sneak Peek At The Paramount Backlot.

Cameras

Here is a little sneak peak at the back lot of Paramount prior to the Cine Gear Expo 2011. We were able to grab a golf cart from one of our friends at the back lot and jetted around while they were setting up. We decided to grab the Glidecam HD 2000 for this tracking shot from the back of the golf cart.

The prep went down pretty quickly. We decided to only bring three cameras. Two Canon 5D Mark II’s and a Canon 7D. We only brought three Zeiss Primes to cover. We were lucky enough to snag a pre release copy of the new Carl Zeiss Lenses ZE 35mm f1.4. We also brought our Zeiss ZE 50mm f1.4 and the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 Zoom for the Glidecam. The surprise of the show prep was this killer monopod from Manfrotto. The Manfrotto 682b monopod with built in tripod legs is awesome. It was only around a hundred and twenty five bucks. This is going to be another kit essential for me. Stay tuned for plenty of Cine Gear Expo coverage.

Jared Abrams is a cinematographer based in Hollywood, California. After many years as a professional camera assistant he switched over to still photography. About two years ago a new Canon camera changed the way the world sees both motion and still photography. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
