Hey, I love crushed blacks as an effect... gives it a film noir vibe if done properly, or can be used for some anime-like effects that are rarely seen in film. Though I guess it&#039;s much more versatile to shoot &quot;normally&quot; and then crush blacks in post if you need it. Doing crushed blacks in-camera means you can&#039;t recover that information anymore and that&#039;s not great at all. But the effect itself has its uses, some of them awesome.]]></description>
