TRAVELS WITH THE FS100

@MNS1974

Quite possibly the cheesiest, worst post I’ve ever written but all in the cause of showing you a little bit of where I’ve been the last month. I reckon there’s probably very few people in the world right now who’ve done the range of mad things we’ve done with the Sony FS100 in the last few weeks. Mountains, caves, volcanoes, beaches, boats, dancers, beds, kitchens, helicopters and rednecks. It’s been nuts. So here are a few utterly shameless bts photos of what we’ve been up to with the baby Sony. Putting it through its paces doesn’t even come close. Cheesy. Definitely. If it’s not clear from these shots why I got one of these babies rather than humping a full-featured 5D setup around with me, then I don’t know what else I could show you.

Images from Cape Town, Ile de la Reunion and Mauritius.

The job? Top secret at the moment, but suffice it to say that 5 star luxury companies are involved. The camera has been put through its paces.

I’m a freelance director, editor and latterly cameraman, as well as doing all sorts of other bits and pieces like graphics and voiceovers. I am not a director of photography. And never will be. I’ve been working in music video, corporate and extreme sports up till now but my big love is drama, which is easily the toughest directing game to gain any kind of foothold on.
