Quick Take: Manfrotto 521 PFI Remote Focus And Iris Controller.

Cameras

Here is the Manfrotto 521 PFI remote focus and iris controller. It works seamlessly with the new Panasonic AF100 via the cam remote focus/iris port. It works with most of the Panasonic Lumix lenses and some other off brand lenses like the new Olympus zooms. Bot the iris and focus control are quite sturdy and will make adjustments easy and precise. There is a slight delay with the Lumix lenses we tested. However, I don’t see this as a “long throw” type of tool. It works just great for fine-tuning either focus or iris. Both iris and focus direction can be switched and the throw of the focus wheel can be customized. There are hard switches for iris and focus in either manual or auto mode. The focus can either be custom or standard. The Manfrotto 521 PFI remote will cost you around  $300.
